Here at Yoga Secrets our passions and expertise range far wider than simply different branches of asana (posture) instruction. We continually learn about and unlock more tools of yoga and ayurveda to share with our students. We aim to bring each individual into total wellness through programs designed to meet each student where they are and craft a program specifically tailored to them. Our goal is to guide each person to whole body happiness through yoga and ayurveda including diet, lifestyle, self-care, and individualized instruction.
Ayurveda is the traditional medicine of India, which originated over 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda emphasizes re-establishing balance in the body through diet, lifestyle, exercise, and body cleansing, and on the health of the mind, body, and spirit. We work with you to see how simple changes in lifestyle and rituals can help you become a more vital person.
We offer an array of Ayurveda options from consults, wellness journeys, workshops, private cheffing and cooking classes.
A prenatal yoga class is designed with only pregnant women in mind. It is different from a normal yoga class and also different than a restorative yoga class. You will get a workout - a workout specifically designed for the physical, emotional, and supportive needs of pregnant women. Even for a seasoned yoga practitioner who may be able to complete her normal yoga class with modifications, there are many good reasons to choose prenatal yoga during your pregnancy.
Sometimes life has a funny way of catching up with us. Perhaps we have been working too hard, making poor food choices, not exercising enough, or suffering from stress or mental fogginess. We may not know how we got in this slump, but there is something within us that knows that we could be functioning at a higher level. We could have more energy, greater peace of mind and a healthier body, and getting there probably isn’t as hard as you think.
Yoga was traditionally taught directly from teacher to student rather than in a group setting as is so common today. These ancient yogis understood the importance of creating an individualized practice to meet the unique needs for each student. We at Yoga Secrets like to honor this precious student-teacher relationship by offering private yoga classes.
