300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training

Dual Certification: 300 Hour through Yoga Secrets & AYS through Himalayan Institute

The Yoga Secrets 300 hour advanced yoga teacher training is a dual certification program that is designed to honor the ancient practices of yoga and Ayurveda and provide a platform for yoga teachers with a 200 hour certification to deepen their own personal practice and expand their teachings.

Our training will be in two sections. The AYS will be taught by Mary Honchock and Kathryn Templeton of the Himalayan Institute. It consists of four modules: three weekends at Yoga Secrets and one online module in the comfort of your own home. Completion of this portion will certify you as an through the Himalayan Institute as an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist.

The Greater Traditions of Yoga will be taught by Lexa Chernin, Elizabeth Gehrt and Mary Honchock, co-owners of Yoga Secrets. It consists of ten weekends, all at Yoga Secrets. As lineage teachers, our hope is to instill a deep respect for the traditional paths of yoga as they were originally taught. Through study of sacred scripture such as the Yoga Sutra, Bhakti Sutra, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Bhagavad Gita and others, as well as a thorough examination of the classic branches of yoga, students are sure to come away from this program illuminated and inspired.

Completion of both sections is over 300 hours of study, which combined with your previous 200 hour yoga teacher certification, will allow you to register as a RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance. There are two starting points for our 300 hour program.  You may start with the AYS sections or the Greater Traditions of Yoga Jnana weekend.
